Soft Skills at Orchard Knob Elementary

Meeting Times: 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
WHO: 20 participants entering and re-entering the workforce. These participants are
more than likely unemployed or underemployed.
WHAT: The understanding of Soft Skills is the key to job retention. Soft Skills are one’s
transferable skills which allows one to coexist with society and one’s self. Out of the 8
soft skills: Effective Communication, Teamwork, Self-Management, Problem-solving,
Networking, Work ethic, Career planning, and Job searching, The most imperative soft
skill is Effective Communication. Communication will be the leading skill encompassed
within every training session as communication is the basis for interpersonal
WHEN: Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday each week from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Day 1: December 10th, 2018

WHERE: All Classes will be held at Orchard Knob Elementary.
WHY: To enable participants to seek intentional employment efficiently and effectively
by providing interactive career readiness training sessions over a two week period.
